Mr Dai Genyou, the chief of Monetary Policy Department of People¡¯s Bank of China, visited our school and gave us a lecture about current monetary policies at 2 o¡¯clock on April 2nd. Firstly, Mr Dai introduced current monetary policies to our students and put forward some suggestions about monetary policies in five years. He thought we should keep a stable balance of the increase of money and loan. Secondly, we should develop capital market, bond market, expand direct financing, consummate business banking system, push the marketing of interest rates steadily and strengthen open market operation. Finally, Mr Dai answered questions advanced by students about the establishment of Banking Supervision Committee and the time lag of monetary policy.
